Throughout the 1970's Simon made his parents life a misery. Constantly requesting to be taken out of mainstream education and placed into drama school. His father, the engineer famous for the quick release fastener, ignored the requests by working away from home as much as possible and pretending to be Hungarian during the holidays. Simon's mother, the entrepreneur responsible for the current coffee shop explosion, fared less well and has been on medication since 1975.

Simon started at Mountview Theatre School in North London at the age of 17. His performance as the 70 year old Serebriakov in Uncle Vanya is still talked about with hushed respect to this day as is his role as a butterfly in 'The Insect Play'.

It was during a performance of 'King Lear' in which Simon was typecast as 'The Fool' that simon was spotted by a young playwright called Clive Barker. After an initial meeting Clive invited Simon to join his fringe theatre group 'The Dog Company'. It was here that Simon worked with actor Douglas Bradley and film director Oliver Parker. The metaphysical nature of Clive's plays was beyond Simon's limited intelligence but he developed a method of looking seriously constipated and delivering his lines as fast as possible. Nobody seemed to notice.

When the Dog Company disbanded a few years later Simon decided to review his career. Stripping back everything to a bare minimum he joined the sequel to 'Oh Calcutta' the revered classic 'Why Not Bangkok?'.

His great talents were now open for all to appreciate and it led to job offers for years to come.

For the last 30 years his work has taken him to Qatar, Sweden, Romania, The United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Austria, USA, France, Germany, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Egypt and Pakistan. He created the role of Butterball in the 'Hellraiser' franchise as well as the illfated 'Ohnaka' in the movie 'Nightbreed'. When not filming or touring the UK encouraging children to eat a healthier diet he can be found either at his Peterborough Prefab in Cambridgeshire, or his French residence, a tent on a nudist site near Bordeaux.
